I did and still dislike the spelling. And I'm not keen on the look of eels themselves. I saw some conger eel steaks in the fish section of Morrissons and bought them on an "ooh, interesting fish!" whim. I looked up a recipe online and made conger chowder which was OK but not fabulous.
Hm. I don't groove on eel acuz it's so fatty. It may have been how it was prepared, though. I am ignorant in the way of eel, and i admire you for getting the wild hair to prepare it yourself. Everything i know about eel in the western tradition, though, is Rendall, My Son. An' I aint too sure about that.
But i had a similar "Skin, rrr! Bones, rrr!" experience last time i had rattlesnake. I am not buying rattlesnake again. Bastard bloody shitwanking rattlesnake.
