I have a new religion/obsession/symptom/really annoying habit whereby I will only wear colours that were used as paint colours on Citroën cars in the 1950s-1970s.

This could be interesting...I think the Citroen colors in that era were something like:

Gitanes Smoke Blue
Overripe Cheese Yellow
Blancmange
Woman's Face in Toulouse-Lautrec Painting Green
American Tourist's Shirt Orange (special edition cars only)
Gallic Shrug

These are they: http://www.nuancierds.fr/entreeuk.htm

You can see all the colours at once (http://www.nuancierds.fr/danchorama.htm) or by year (e.g. http://www.nuancierds.fr/1962.htm). The custodian of the site has made comments and little essay-ettes on each colour.

The off-whites and the blues in particular are sublime.

Huh, I think I'm in a Bleu de Provence blouse today then.

Wow, those colors are...stylish. Although I'm still racking my brain over "silver green" and "gray mirage." "Gray Kandahar" is an odd name as well.

The "Absinthe" color is so cool. I need an old-school Jaguar in that color.
