Hurr (hurr hurr)

The way I style my hair is by sleeping on it and seeing what shape it makes in the morning.

Today it's come out very eighties: Lady Di (as the white Tupac Princess Of Hearts was then), and only a few squirts of hairspray away from early 80s George Michael.

I am such a fan of low-maintenance. No gel, no hairspray, if it behaves badly it goes in a french plait and that will learn it. (and then I sleep in it and it's all ringletty the next mornign and I get overexcited about it only to be disappointed when they've all fallen out by elevensies.)

OMG, me too. I do wash mine every day, but it doesn't always blow-dry into the same shape. It's really short, but somehow it's managed to capture a style that either of them (Di or George) has worn at some point in the past.

The only way I have ever been able to get my hair to do volume without static is by washing it late at night and sleeping on it wet.

White Tupac sounds like it should be a drug slang term.

When I had long hair, putting it into a french plait (er, actually, "getting someone else to put it into a french plait") swimming in salt water and leaving it to dry all day had an interesting effect.

Mine always approximated some sort of packing material when I did that.
