England couldn't have gone too long without the odd hiccup now and again, right?
I'm not sure this will be as apocalyptic as some think. The Pietersen/Moores partnership wasn't working well, and better the bustup happened now than right before the Ashes series. Now Andrew Strauss (who I don't think will be bad as captain) and the new coach, probably Andy Flower, will have a relatively untroubling trip through the Caribbean to get things worked out.
I can't say I'm confident about the likely new setup, but it could have been worse: reports originally stated that Pietersen was not going to tour WI, which certainly wouldn't have helped him over the summer. And it's not as if Australia isn't in a mess right now too.
