Cat: I want what you're having.
Me: You can't have any.
Cat: I want some I want some I want some give me some.
Me: You can't have any.
Cat: Oh I want some give me some it smells real good.
Me: You can't have any.
Cat: I'll just sit here and watch each forkful and then you can change your mind and give me some.
Me: OK, well I've finished now, I'll put the plate on the floor and you can lick up the smidgens.
Cat: *SNIFFS PLATE* Urgh, don't want any. *FUCKS OFF*

Well....it's a CAT. Molly only wants yogurt off my spoon or out of the container. If I give her her own plate, it's no good.

My cats are the same way, right down to what happens if I get them a bit of what I'm having- which I only do to remind them that I'm vegetarian and they don't like vegetables.

But they never learn.

Heh, I suddenly feel lucky our cats have mostly been ignoring the humans' food temptations. Instead the one of them spends all her time trying to get into our bathroom (particularly after showers), so that she can lick the delicious walls. O_o

But y'know, if we didn't have them to laugh at, what would we do with our spare time?

This is Yoda. His preferred perch is the arm of the couch closes to where I'm sitting (the couch is right beside the table). He hunches like a vulture and does begging eyes like Puss In Boots from Shrek II. Then he grimaces so hard his lips quiver away from his teeth when he realizes I've been eating cauliflower and hummus or some such.

Cats definitely fuck off with the caps lock on.
